  17. I have a problem running C-Kermit for OS/2 and NR/2 at the same
  18. time over an IAK PPP connection (to a Sun SPARC Solaris 2.4 PPP
  19. server at the office).

  21. Specifics:  IBM 755CX, 40 MB RAM, 810 MB drive, OS/2 Warp as
  22. delivered in the dual boot with DOS 7.0/Win 3.11 setup.  I have
  23. added Mwave 2.0 drivers, the PPP and other IAK fixes, and the updated
  24. ThinkPad utilities/drivers/PCMCIA/IR stuff from the IBM web sites.
  25. I use SIO 1.53 serial port drivers with the built in MWave modem on
  26. COM2.  A 14.4 error-corrected PPP link is negotiated with VJ header
  27. compression (speed limited by the Sun modem).

  29. The IAK PPP connection seems to work fine - I can run C-Kermit and telnet
  30. to work, run IBM's Web Browser, use FTP, NewsReader/2, and such.

  32. However, if NR/2 is running I have problems with C-Kermit 5A(191) with
  33. date of 6-06-95 and file size of 719566.  If I start C-Kermit, it looks OK.
  34. At the prompt I type:  telnet cobra
  35. and I promptly get the following (writing over text in the 1st and 2nd line
  36. of the C-Kermit window):

  41. I probably have something misconfigured (easy to do as OS/2 is so
  42. configurable!) but I don't have a clue at this point.  This same sequence
  43. works if NR/2 is not running (cobra is the name of the Sun PPP host and
  44. DNS knows its name and IP address and DNS is working).  The obvious
  45. solution is to not run c-kermit when NR/2 is up but I would like to be
  46. able to.

  48. Any tips, pointers, guesses, or solutions welcome.
